How can a morning this mild be so raw?

Today, in honor of Halloween, I am wearing a black sweater and an orange scarf.  Also, as we're still in this cold front, I was wearing dark grey fingerless gloves.  I was told I looked like a Halloween version of RENT.


I love RENT, so I took this as a compliment, but then I got to thinking.  Halloween is not a time of year I generally think of RENT.  Christmas and New Years are the big ones, of course.  But there's a whole scene on Valentines Day and another whole scene on Halloween.  In fact, one of my favorite lines in the play is from the Halloween scene

"You always said how lucky you were that we were all friends, but it was us, baby, who were the lucky ones."
