Frustration Station

Which is more frustrating?

1. An email back from a summer job I applied for a full 2 months ago simply asking if I was still interested.

or

B. An email telling me I'm on the short list for a summer job but that they haven't made their decision yet.

or

3. A phone call from a friend telling me that someone he passed my resume on to is thinking about hiring me, but with no actual contact from the person hiring.

I don't believe to be exaggerating when I say that I am good at what I do. So why hasn't anyone snatched me up?
