For Whom Does The Bell Toll?

Additional items taking their toll on me (or, addendum to post from Sunday), a bulleted list:
  • a friend's father was recently hospitalized for colon problems.
  • two nights (so far) sleeping on an air mattress.
  • 11-hour days with virtually no breaks.
