ramifications, repercussions, and lack of capitalization

as if it were possible, today was almost weirder than yesterday. don't get me wrong, i'm glad dan and i broke the ice and are able to talk about the things we're talking about, but i went and made things a little weird when i said that ben read about the possible st. louis thing on my blog (i only said this because ben had called dan before dan called him, and i didn't realize how discreet ben had been in his message). this led dan to ask about my blog, etc. and he took my denying him the address as a sort of pseudo-computer geek challenge to find it. i don't think he'll be able to, and i would discourage anyone of you, good readers, from giving him the address should he ask, even though i believe he would understand the context in which most everything was written. i mean, it really doesn't matter. if he searches hard enough, he will either find it, or he won't. i googled myself today, with him in my office, just to prove that it can't be found. he said, "there are only so many free blog sites." i think maybe some day when neither of us work at the lb any longer, then he can see it, but in the meantime, even though there are parts of certain posts i wouldn't mind him seeing, i am not ready for him to have full access to my blog.

so that was during lunch today, and then he came back before the open rehearsal to thank me for my honesty. i said i was sorry i'd blogged about it and added that even though i was really glad we were comfortable enough to talk about this stuff now, i kinda wish we could go back to before that conversation yesterday, but at the same time, i don't. and that about sums it up.

i went to brownings tonight after the open rehearsal. jeff and david invited me again, and we had a good-sized group. i had a great time, and discovered a bourbon stout which, as i told my father on the phone, combined two of our favorite food groups: bourbon and beer!

and on that note, goodnight. i have an 8:30 meeting with mike and bruce in the morning, and at this point, i'm going to set 4 alarms to make sure i'm there on time. wish me luck! (i'm supposed to bring the doughnuts.)
